Well known by all of us now after the incident at Våler earlier this summer with melted pistons, mr. Øystein has once again proven his ability to wreck his car, by totally busting his gearbox. The whole casing is "fubar", andthis is how it happened:

Øystein melted his pistons on a track day at Våler. He had to wait a long time for his new forged JE pistons, and by the time he got them, he was feeling pretty "trigger happy". He was going to really let her rip. He decided to check out his best 0-100 km/h time, so he could brag about it to his friends.

He reved up the engine, and had a really good launch off the plate. The car was on the way to set a good time, he thought. In the next split second, there was a huge BANG ! All wheels locked up at once, and this GT-R has never had such good brakes as now. Only trouble was that the "brakes" would not release. It was a hassle to get on the trailer needed to bring her back to the workshop, even if the pushing/winching was assisted by the fact that there was about 3,5 litre of gearbox oil on the pavement.

The pictures speaks for themselves. The box is litterally "raped" !  It didn't take a long time to fix though, bechause he got some used parts from an old gearbox in the garage. So now he is out on the streets again. If you see him in his RS-blue GT-R, please challenge him for a race. If you don't win, don't be sorry. His car is quick. But remember, he might break something, and we will have another story to tell. So keep the hammer on, and send us stories/pictures if you got any.
